The Office of the County Executive attended the Long Reach Village Board meeting on February 20, 2024. The county introduced Columbia Concepts, the sole entity to submit a bid for redeveloping the Village Center. Columbia Concepts shared their mixed-use concept plan which includes indoor sports space, retail, residential (rental units and townhouses), and community green space. The county stated that it had not said yes or no to the proposal. The county wanted to gather community feedback about the proposed redevelopment plan before taking any next steps in the redevelopment process. The RFP, presentations, and updates about the Village Center may be found on the county’s website: howardcountymd.gov/planning-zoning/long-reach-rising. Questions about the Village Center redevelopment should be directed to the county. Email your comments, concerns, and questions to the county at [email protected]. Comments are closed.
